Admissions
Information for Prospective Applicants
Thank you for your interest in graduate studies at UC Santa Barbara. Please note that the application can only be completed online at the Online Graduate Application. No paper-based application exists, and Graduate Division cannot mail program information to prospective applicants. All information can be found online by visiting Graduate Division Admissions and the Department and Program Index.
The Graduate Division can inform prospective applicants of the admissions requirements for graduate study but cannot provide admissions advice or counseling. However, if you are experiencing difficulties with the online application or are having trouble locating information on the Graduate Division web site, please contact the Graduate Division Admissions unit.
The Graduate Division cannot pre-screen applicants with unofficial information contained in emails. Only the prospective student can determine eligibility to apply by reading the application guidelines on this web site. To learn more about the requirements, please visit the following pages:
All supplemental application materials should be sent directly to the prospective academic department using the department specific mailing address and zip code + 4 digit extension (93106-xxxx), and not to the Graduate Division.
The Graduate Division encourages all prospective applicants to contact their department of interest directly for the most current program information. A listing of graduate programs can be found on the Department and Program Index.
Prospective applicants can address any further questions to prospectivegrad@graddiv.ucsb.edu.
