Postdoctoral Scholars
Questions & Answers
Postdoc: Do you know if postdocs can get bus passes on campus? It seems like the grads and undergrads have them
Response: The grads and undergrads' registration fees allow them to ride for free. Unfortunately, since postdocs do not pay these, they fall under the faculty, staff and postdocs category. The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), provides additional transporation benefits when you purchase a bus pass.
Postdoc: I would like to know whether I can get a university ID card as a postdoc. The primary reason is so that I can check out materials from the library, but I would also like to take advantage of some discounts from local merchants!
Response: Once an employee [Postdoc] has been entered into the Payroll-Personnel-System, an identification card may be requested. To obtain a card, go to the University Center Information Desk located on the main level of the University Center. Appointments are not necessary. Simply drop by the Information Desk with photo identification and have a photo taken. You will receive your card at that time.
