ADVISORY NOTE REGARDING EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR ADMISSIONS APPLICATIONS

We apologize if you have had difficulty accessing our Graduate Division Admission application system.

Due to the ongoing Thomas Fire in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, which has resulted in recurring power outages on campus and in the surrounding areas, many December 15 graduate application deadlines have been extended to December 18, 2017.

Please be sure to complete and submit your application, and any corresponding application materials, by December 18th at 11:59pm Pacific Time if you have not already done so. You may check the status of any materials already submitted by logging into your eApp.

If you have any questions, you may contact us at gradadmissions@graddiv.ucsb.edu or at our Graduate Division main office line at 805-893-2277.

In the event of additional outages, we will post any updates right here on our UCSB Graduate Division Facebook page. For questions about your application deadline, please contact your department/program directly.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to receiving your application for graduate study at UC Santa Barbara.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at gradadmissions@graddiv.ucsb.edu  if you need any assistance or have any questions.

About Our Team

The Graduate Admissions and Outreach unit manages the central processing of all graduate admission applications and verifies that all applicants have met university admissions requirements. We work closely with prospective students and departments to assist with the online application, general admission procedures, and policies.

Additionally, in the summer and fall, we attend recruitment fairs, forums, and conferences to attract a diverse and exceptional pool of applicants to apply to our graduate programs. We also host summer programs and collaborate with other campus organizations to invite prospective students to the campus for research opportunities, scholarly activities, and graduate preparatory workshops.

We welcome talented students from all over the world to apply to our graduate programs and hope that you will consider us for your graduate studies.
